Biography
Alex Davis works on the literature and culture of the late medieval and early modern periods. He is the author of three books:ÌýChivalry and Romance in the English RenaissanceÌý(2003);ÌýRenaissance Historical FictionÌý(2011); and Imagining Inheritance From Chaucer to Shakespeare (2020). With Neil Rhodes, Harriet Archer, and Gordon Kendal he is one of the editors of the MHRA Tudor and Stuart Translations edition ofÌýErasmus in English, 1523-1584 (2023). He would welcome enquiries from prospective research students in any of these areas of study.
