Deadline Dread: Strategies to Stay Calm and Focussed

Key details: This online workshop has been developed for those who are feeling anxiety around completing work to deadlines. The Course will take place in Student Services, Eden Court, The Scores. If unable to attend in person a link to teams is also provided.

Course information

We will explore some of the psychoeducation around anxiety and panic and the effect this has on your physical, emotional and psychological well being. We will look at ways to manage negative anxiety in the short term and long term using a variety of techniques which we would hope to impact on your feelings, thoughts and behaviours. We will look at practical things you can do to feel more in control and to prevent anxiety negatively impacting you and will also look at relaxation techniques and other strategies to look at managing anxiety.

Aims and objectives

Students should learn a little about the role anxiety plays in their life, the effects it has on the body and the impact it can have on their day to day lives. If feeling that anxiety is causing students uncomfortable or negative feelings they will learn techniques that should help to prevent or manage this anxiety especially around their study and deadlines.
