Magic in Morocco
Cute little story behind this impromptu photoshoot: my good friend & I stopped in our tracks & wandered down this stunning alley way. It was like love at first sight. Blinded by the imperfections & hypnotized by its beauty. Perched in one of the most beautiful places in the world, a silhouette floating in a window captured my attention.
In that moment, I fell in love with a face hiding behind a hijab. She pulled the sheer cloth away from her face revealing more than I could ask for. Her gentle eyes and friendly smile reminded me of the way my grandma would look at me when she tells me how much I've grown. She peered back at me, grinning coyly. Probably because I looked silly smiling at nothing which actually made me laugh to myself. But her expression seemed like she adored me.
No words were shared. I don't know her name & she never learned mine but for some reason, she made me feel comfortable. Less anxious. Familiar. Safe. I almost forgot I was in another country. That simple act was all I needed to reassure myself that genuine interactions can happen anywhere in the world. Without words, without unnecessary small talk. Just pure feeling & energy shared between two people whose lives we know nothing about. Yet, here we are sharing this very moment.
